I don't know if anyone listened to the radio today infectious disease guy from University Hospitals was on the radio talking about the virus. I don't think he wanted to say specifically that people are crazy for freaking out but he did say very specifically that of the people that have died they have been in their 80s with serious other ailments similar to the people that died from the flu or any other infectious disease. He also said that, and this is how I took it, that unless we were freaking out the huge percentage of people that get this wouldn't even think it was a big deal. He did say that the symptoms for young people and healthy people of anything but Advanced age would probably mistake it for a cold. In other words not even to the level of regular flu symptoms.

My opinion stays as it did when we were freaking out about any other xxxx flu that turned out to be nothing in a month or two. I especially remember the E coli hyperventilation on Put-in-Bay just about killed our season and it was really nothing in the end. They had 800 hotline at assholes were calling saying they've been to the island and we're sick that turned out to have never even been there. Just hoping for a little settlement money.

I honestly believe the media is over blowing this first of all for ratings that come with a panic that they create and if it harms the Trump Administration they figure that's just icing on the cake. The Democrats on the other hand I'm sure are happy with making money from it but I think the fucking with Trump is at least as important if not more.

If I'm wrong and at the end of April we're walking the streets of Northeast Ohio like it was a Stephen King novel if any of you were still alive you could tell me I was wrong.

Dude, confess, you're just worried about making money this summer.

I have type 2 diabetes and im 55 yrs old.... But I feel like I'm a "Healthy 55".. I had a small bug back in January.. after about 2 weeks I was pretty much back to normal...

Here's the Ohio Dept Of Health and they're page regarding the so called "Pandemic".. I don't think its time to freakout.. But being informed can't hurt..

It’s being reported that the 4th person in Ohio has been diagnosed with the Corona virus, in Stark County.

The odd thing about this case, is the victim really didn’t travel anywhere.

Its got the doctors scratching their heads wondering where he contracted the bug.

yep. bout where we are at - we went with friends and stocked up bigtime ...just because we can....on our favorite items, necessary stuff= they had run out of toilet paper at Sam's Club ! apparently, a delivery was made and they were dishing the packages out like it was life-saving stuff. Really busy. Carts with water, tp, fruit drinks, all sorts of stuff. Big thing also is white vinegar - vinegar kills bacteria, you can pickle produce to keep it, etc etc etc.

We have a big bag of rice  - never goes bad, would make a whole meal out of a squirrel... lol

crap. I was going to stock up on lysol. forgot that.

You can live off the land Cal. Deer hunting out of season- suspended. You can live for quite a while on one of those.  :)   I hear turkeys are making a comeback.

NBA suspended for the rest of the season and the SEC has banned fans from all SEC sporting events.

Shit, just shut the country down- totally....  Suspend the stock market while you're at it.....

Oh, NFL fans- the draft in 'Vegas is around 6 weeks away. Wanna bet no one gets to go to that either?  Which team will have the first player test positive?  September is a ways off, but I wouldn't hate a couple grand refund on my season tickets while the world is getting hysterical.....  Pays for that nice shiny new 4k TV......

1) Hysteria sells. I ain't afraid of no damn virus, something is going to kill me eventually anyway.

2) Sorry Steve this isn't CNN being the bad guys- it's world wide media (and now government) panic- Italy, Germany- it goes on. We're still in the vicinity of 100,000 cases world wide, and the end is near. At least according to the WHO. On a relative # disease scale, that's pissing in the disease ocean. If it had a 40% fatality rate like ebola or plague (pre antibiotics) I'm all ears.

I am confused by all the toilet paper buying. Are they confused about where they need to put the Purell?

In the words of Johnny Carson from way back on a TP panic. It's a problem that  will  touch every American.

Just wait until contaminated fruit & Veggies from  California and  elsewhere  start showing up.

Well I flushed our reservations next week for two free nights at Winstar Casino in Ok. just across the Red River. I decided to take president Trump's advice to not take an unnecessary trip to put two 72 year olds at risk when we can always go free again when the coast is declared clear since they send us free offers every month. There have been 7 cases in the Dal-Ft. Worth area and they feed the casino with customers where everyone uses the machines and goes through the buffet lines.🤮😷

Good for you Tex. Unfortunately the plastic that you buy at The Big Box store has probably been touched by other humans including illegals. So be careful when you're nailing it over the windows and doors of your home.

Personally I'm not adjusting my day-to-day life in the slightest bit. If I die of this bogus virus think of the fun you'll have gloating.

This is my local Kroger's in Butler county. Completely out of TP. Of all the things to stock up on during a pandemic, shit paper rates pretty low on my list. They've also got a strict 4 limit item combined on water, flu meds, TP, and various sanitizers.

Guess it's a good thing I stocked up on OTC flu meds a few weeks ago before the panic buying set in.

Living near Sun City there is no hand sanitizer to be found in any pharmacy, Wal-mart or grocery store within 25 miles of here. But they were too dumb to know that Dial Bar soap is regularly recommended by surgeons to use on your entire body before checking in for surgery. Excellent soap for virus removal on the hands regularly. Plenty of that to be found with minimal looking.

basically, one of those necessity items - you go out and buy it, before everyone else panics and buys it all, cause if you don't, you won't have any. This time of year, there aren't any maple leaves etc, ....older folks back in the day figured out how solutions to problems.

Now? too many college kids would think you can't go to the bathroom without tp.

Older folks who grew up during the depression had to solve all sorts of problems in every day living, and learn how to do without, or at least figure out a replacement.

Too many ...liberal kids today feeeellll like they are entitled to not have to solve problems - it must be solved for them, like participation trophies so "everybody wins".
