Dutch Oven
Since we were able to rest key starters, I'm kind of hoping for a Saturday game... definitely do not want the MNF wildcard.

bbedward
Not browns Texans related but wtf is Josh Allen doing, man is a dumb turnover machine. He was staring at an easy 2 yard first down throw, decided to roll out and chuck a prayer to the endzone right to Miami

And the Bills are hip to the Archane scheme, he ain't running the rock between the C's. So they're just going to park on the edges and run him down. Bills running game is interesting because, in a sense, it reminds me of Florida with Tebow and the Percy, Demps, Rainey and Moody. Tim handles the interior running game and functions as another de-factor running back (Allen) Cook functions as the perimeter runner given that his frame, 5'10, 190lbs, isn't holding up taking 18+ carries a game. He's averaging near 5ypc too.

True 5' 10" and 190# is not set up for a full time pounding, That's for a 6' plus and 210 +/- pound guy. [ I can feel that II was 5' 10" and 192# at my peak not in football but a few years later.】 I always think the ideal as a. 6' 2" 232# RB ..... like the GOAT. JB. bbedward
I saw somewhere stroud struggles against man to man mostly, seems strange for a rookie where I’d expect the opposite. Their receivers are pretty injured and I’d expect Stroud will see more man to man than he has in any game against the browns - since that’s just what Schwartz does

bbedward
Kinda surprised it didn’t get the primetime slot over the bucs…rookie of the year vs Flacco browns - seems like a better prime time than inept bucs and collapsing eagles. im good with being first though, if we lose I won’t waste time following any of the other games. LondonBrown
So the return flights from London and Stubhub ticket prices are achievable...... Anyone know which areas to stay in and avoid staying in Houston?
gumby73
11 hours ago, bbedward said: What’s Houston’s injuries these days? They’re down quite a few pieces aren’t they No need to research that Jags trip. (🙃 ya jink) so here's the Texans roster starter changes from when the Browns played them, to what they traveled to Colts with 1) Biggest is Stroud is back, to replace Keenum at QB play (Browns had 3 sacks/6 QB hits/2 ints. Texans OL is beatable outside of LT Tunsil. RT Heck gave up all 3 sacks/ 2 to Smith vs Browns) 2) WR Tank Dell went to IR (big loss), so the browns saw WR Noah Brown to replace him w/7 targets. WR Noah Brown missed the Colts game with a Back issue. TE Schultz 11 targets/ Nico Collins 6 targets VS BROWNS. 3.) The Texans leader in sacks w/12.5 is DE J. Greenard. Greenard was OUT w/ankle at Colts.. Enter Jerry Hughes & rookie Will Anderson sharing Greenard snaps. Browns played J. Greenard but Will Anderson was inactive w/ankle 4) Stroud, Will Anderson, LB B. Cashman, DT T. Tart (from Tenn. browns claimed but Texans had higher waiver claim) will play Browns this time.. Watch injury updates on DE Greenard & WR Noah Brown 5) Combine Texans FB A. Beck with a lot of TE's they liked to play at Colts w/Stroud (off back foot/off balance didn't care to Nico Collins) .. Look for Texans coach to make back-end adjustments of Corners & Safety's to not get COOP toasted again..(or..Flacco rarely saw any pocket pressures). Des King (pending crown hit)/ Pitre / J.Ward & D. Stingley gets Joe Flacco again ! 6 Pack) Browns need to Stay away from their 11 penalty calls in Houston this week compared to last match up !

Anyone know which areas to stay in and avoid staying in Houston? I've been to a couple Browns games at NRG Stadium- there's a bunch of hotels within walking distance, and the area there by my recollection is pretty safe. Yeah, upper level seats will get you into the game for around $165 dollars (that's including the Ticketmaster 10% extortion fee.)

Neo
I 27 minutes ago, Korsou Dawg said: Nick Harris is a Full Back? If PJ Walker is listed on the depth chart, why wasn't he the one to start the Bengals game? Driskel just got here and you could tell he didn't have the prep. I know the game was meaningless but it still would have been nice to come out with a win to keep momentum going into the wild card.
Dutch Oven
The Browns run a one-back offense, but occasionally in short yardage situations they will indeed bring in Nick Harris to be the fullback.

I think they wanted to see if they could find a better backup than Walker - probably liked some of Driskel’s tape, if Flacco goes down then Walker is a death sentence to our postseason.
