I’ve had bad flu symptoms for over a week, and my doctor sent me out to be tested.

    Ain’t that a bitch. . .

I will keep you in my prayers for a quick recovery.

I copied this from a friend of mine on Facebook. FYI

There is hope and treatment if you can convince your primary care physician to administer the cocktail. Sally Wood, a nurse at Koester Pavillion in Troy confirmed with COVID-19, was administered Hydroxychloroquine and Z-pak on Monday, recovered on Tuesday. The other is 1. Hydroxychloroquine 200mg twice a day for 5 days
    2. Azithromycin 500mg once a day for 5 days
    3. Zinc sulfate 220mg once a day for 5 days which here again is being tested on patients in Phase II (showing symptoms) but not bad enough to be admitted and placed on ventilator. Speak to your primary care physician to see if this may be right for you and address concerns with current and past health conditions.

Good morning gentlemen. Just curious as to exactly what precautions the members of this group are taking. How frequently do you visit a store? What kind? Pharmacy convenience store carryout restaurant general merchandise post office Hardware or grocery?

I personally go every 2 or 3 days to one or more of these establishments. I do not wear a mask I do not wear gloves but I try to be as conscious as possible about washing my hands and not touching my face. I do take a couple paper towels I have dampened with Clorox spray and wipe my hands frequently as I pick up items and put them in my cart. I make sure the cart handle has been cleaned. And I do stay as reasonably far from others in the store as I can. And I open the doors with my shirt sleeve or with the Clorox paper towel. How about the rest of you? What are your daily routines like? Where do you shop if at all?

Bonus question when you are out in a store how many of the other customers seem like they are taking precautions?

    WSS

Our neighbors were nice enough to make my wife and I a couple of masks and I probably will wear it next time I go to Walmart where I pretty much get everything. I go once a week or so. I do the same with keeping my hands clean and away from my face and spacing when possible.

Other than that WSS you were spot on in saying early on we cannot keep living our lives in fear. We have to open up the economy or the "cure" will absolutely be worse than the disease.

I also believe the cocktail of hydroxychloroquine, zpac and zinc when given to covid19 patients early on will have a huge impact on keeping these patients from having their symptoms getting worse and then having to be hospitalized. I just read here locally a nurse who tested positive for covid19 with the normal symptoms and was given the cocktail and the very next day is symptom free. This might be anecdotal evidence as Dr. Fauci states but as more and more of these success stories happen it is at least very powerful anecdotal evidence these drugs work.

I warned Americans this could happen in my new book, “Culture Jihad: How to Stop the Left From Killing a Nation.”

    Oh geez ...

The mayor put a law in place and they broke it.

I don't know if you remember Woody but I posted about how our church was having services in the parking lot with everyone staying in their cars (like this church is doing) and you thought that was a responsible idea.

The point is all across the country there are some getting carried away with taking away personal freedom and rights to fight the coronavirus.

  4. Two out of three doctors would take Hydroxychloroquine if they contracted the coronavirus

The left loves to tell us to "listen to doctors." It's time for them to take their own advice and stop spreading propaganda against Hydroxychloroquine.

The most hated topic for mainstream media is President Trump. The second most hated topic is Hydroxychloroquine, the malaria drug that many, including the President, believe may be a valid and potent treatment against the coronavirus. They hate the second because they hate the first, and President Trump has been touting results of the drug’s use for weeks.

A new survey of 1200 doctors indicated that 65% of them would prescribe the drug to family members if they contracted the disease, and 67% said they would take the drug themselves. One of the mantras from the left since the coronavirus prompted the current crisis is, “listen to doctors.” Well, here we go…

That article is full of hot air.

Your opinion. My opinion is I was surprised to see the lack of success of those placed on ventilators and there is a lot we are still learning about treating covid19 patients. I am not anti ventilator as they are necessary at times. You spoke of your father with lung cancer. My brother also died of lung cancer and when he was on hospice I took care of him and I know the issues of lack of oxygen.

With ventilators running out, doctors say the machines are overused for Covid-19

Just let that all come from doctors. Not a president that's speaking instead of the medical experts. The ones standing behind him.

Good drug to take it not it should be tested and confirmed for it's use, not just people all over asking for it for no other reason than "their guy" said it was great.

I think it's just Trump's massive ego. He wants to be seen as the hero. That's why he just can't shut his mouth about, well, anything.

If it works, great. Tell the American people the great news and your doctors can explain more. Details. But don't blow your load before anything is confirmed

I don't care myself who is getting the word out for covid19 patients to talk to their doctors about using HDQ I am just glad to see the message get out. The message that is not getting out is about ventilators.

It is effective to an extent.

You people's concern over how this medication may have adverse affects on patients is sooooo fake.

Be honest. What you're really afraid of is that it might work, making Trump the hero.

It' way to early for this virus to subside, you need it to continue inflicting damage to the economy and the people.

What we know for sure is a poll of doctors worldwide have rated hydroxychloroquine as the most effective tool in their limited arsenal to fight covid19. It should not be a political football. I am glad Trump has been outspoken about it because many people would not even know to talk to their doctors about it if he hadn't. That is exactly what the dem state rep said who credits HCQ as saving her life. She said she only knew about using it for covid19 after hearing Trump speak about it at one of his pressers.

One of the leading doctors who has prescribed HCQ for over 40 years said he has never seen any side effects that  lead to hospitalization when taking HCQ in prescribed doses. It is a very safe drug to take and those hyping the potential deadly side effects have no leg to stand on. It is a drug exactly like Trump states that what have you got to lose in trying it? If it helps that is wonderful but if not than you lost nothing by trying. There are many testimonies though of people who say it did help.

  8. All the roads for the virus infection leads back to China. The early China travel ban by Trump helped but Europe did not have a China travel ban and those infected in China carried the virus to Europe. Than infected Europeans were coming into our country. We finally did have a European travel ban but that came later a number of weeks after the China travel ban. By that time the horses were already out of the barn.

Actually I agree with trumpy that someone very sick with COVID-19 has nothing to lose and should be allowed to volunteer to take the meds if they want to. They can sign a waiver for any adverse effects and roll the dice. It should be available as an option. Nothing better than a live guinea pig who doesn't mind volunteering for that role as long as they fully understand the risks involved with the medication in advance of agreement to take it.

The risks of hydroxychloroquine are very minimal when prescribed by a doctor and taking proper doses. It is a drug that has been used for decades with little problems. So on that side of the ledger there is  little risk for taking it. As for it working the results have been promising but we haven't studied it enough yet to know for sure. I know this though if I had severe symptoms of covid19 and was staring at the prospect of being put on a ventilator I would want the option to at least try the hydroxychloroquine. We do know the prospects are not good for patients put on ventilators.

  10. And who is the real flu pandemic expert but Dr. Fauci and what was he saying about the flu risk to our country in late January and February. He said it was minimal.

I would also note Navarro was the one arguing with Fauci about hydroxychloriquiune and thank God we had Trump giving out valuable information about hydroxychloroquine at pressers and getting FDA approval while Faucci downplays the drug every chance he speaks about it.

    You alright OBF?

No this is personal for me. I have a friend with covid19 and they did nothing for him but put him on a ventilator. His family knows all about hydroxychloroquine and asked if he could get treated with it and they told him they didn't have any. I don't know how that is true when Trump released 29 million doses into circulation. A treatment takes 10 pills and they couldn't spare 10 pills for my friend.

  14. Right to Try: All coronavirus patients should have access to Hydroxychloroquine treatments

The negative press towards hydroxychloroquine is the most heinous example of mainstream media bias we've ever seen. And that's saying a lot.

Also I've read that if you are taking blood pressure meds it isn't good to take this medication.

    Side Effects

Nausea, stomach cramps, loss of appetite, diarrhea, dizziness, or headache may occur. If any of these effects persist or worsen, notify your doctor or pharmacist promptly.

Remember that your doctor has prescribed this medication because he or she has judged that the benefit to you is greater than the risk of side effects. Many people using this medication do not have serious side effects.

Tell your doctor right away if you have any serious side effects, including: arm/leg/back pain, slow heartbeat, symptoms of heart failure (such as shortness of breath, swelling ankles/feet, unusual tiredness, unusual/sudden weight gain), hair loss/color change, mental/mood changes (e.g., anxiety, depression, rare thoughts of suicide, hallucinations), ringing in the ears/hearing loss, worsening of skin conditions (e.g., psoriasis), severe stomach/abdominal pain, severe nausea/vomiting, easy bleeding/bruising, signs of infection (e.g., fever, persistent sore throat), dark urine, yellowing eyes/skin.

This medication may rarely cause low blood sugar (hypoglycemia). Tell your doctor right away if you develop symptoms of low blood sugar, such as sudden sweating, shaking, hunger, blurred vision, dizziness, or tingling hands/feet. If you have diabetes, be sure to check your blood sugars regularly. Your doctor may need to adjust your diabetes medication.

This medication may rarely cause serious (sometimes permanent) eye problems or muscle/nerve damage, especially if you take it for a long time. Get medical help right away if you have any very serious side effects, including: sensitivity to light, vision changes (e.g., blurred vision, seeing light flashes/streaks/halos, missing/blacked-out areas of vision), muscle weakness, numbness/tingling/pain of the arms/legs.

Get medical help right away if you have any very serious side effects, including: chest pain, fast/irregular heartbeat, severe dizziness, fainting, seizures.

A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. However, get medical help right away if you notice any symptoms of a serious allergic reaction, including: rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), dizziness, trouble breathing.

This is not a complete list of possible side effects. If you notice other effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist.

    In the US -

Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 or at www.fda.gov/medwatch.

In Canada - Call your doctor for medical advice about side effects. You may report side effects to Health Canada at 1-866-234-2345.

Which is probably why this doctor said he only used the drug on patients who were seriously ill with covid 19 and not using it for patients with milder symptoms.
