  1. I was a huge fan of hiring Freddie, but I have learned that a Team this young & a rookie Head Coach (rookie HC at ANY level, much less NFL) can be a recipe for disaster.

We need to utilize &  LEAD the talent we acquired before we ALIENATE it.

Make it a lifelong ban and move on already; it's Retarded how many chances this guy gets. Does he have compromising pics of Roger?

    UM,  NOT.

I happen to agree. Just make "Indefinite" "Permanent".  The NFL has already given Gordon far too many chances. He might be willing to get treatment (yet again) for his abuse problems, but there has to be a point where the League says "We've thrown you a half a dozen lifeboats, but you just keep shooting holes in the bottom of them".

Time to call it a career, weed is legal in Washington- so get yourself a cheapo apartment, and smoke all you want. On one of your suspensions, heard you were pretty good at selling cars. A good second career option.

Yep. Roger's credibility is already in the shitter & yet ANOTHER suspension for JG? Is Roger the "boy who cried wolf"? Josh hasn't listened to him for YEARS!

Hey Rog, your "suspensions" are obviously meaningless...as IC stated, it's time to graduate to BAN!

  3. Hunt's observations came from him & have to be very concerning.

As far as what Mike Silver writes? I label as BULLSHIT! Keep in mind he is very close to Hue Jackson & has taken damn near every opportunity since Hue's firing to bad mouth the Browns...What a POS he is!!

After all is said & done, we'll see what REALLY takes place in the days, weeks, & months ahead.

Bottom line.....I've always been a Browns' Fan, always will be a Browns' Fan regardless of record, turmoil, etc.......GO BROWNS & I'll see you at the Ravens' game.

I agree that it can be tough to get a call right in real time. That said there are egregious calls AFTER they review the plays seeing things in slow motion from all angles. Tinfoil hat or not when they get those wrong it has to make you wonder. Relative to the Njoku play perhaps I am wrong and am open to hear feedback but it was not a fumble. In countless angles he had the ball and was down. The call on the field both really time and after a long review was a fumble recovered by the Bengals. The official game log was changed to record it as an interception. It surely was not an interception. If he was down (which he was) and both he and the defender had the ball it defaults to the receiver as a catch.

    EXACTLY!!

That crew yesterday also screwed up clock stuff. They were, to quote a famous EX steelers QB......"bush league"!  😁

  5. Warther Museum in Dover, Ohio. https://thewarthermuseum.com/plan

"Mooney" Warther was a master carver of trains who had NO peer. I don't care WHERE you live, that place is worth the trip. He dreamt of what he carved perfectly to scale & he took no mearurements & used no machinery. He & his efforts were amazing & the museum is amazing. I had the pleasure of visiting with his son, David, for almost 2 hours back in the late '70s or early '80s.

Our Thanksgiving holiday eating menu for 2019.  Being that I just came home from the hospital/rehab this afternoon at about 3 pm we started our holiday now.  For the first time in the 34 years that we've been in our house we will be not having any guests here for Thanksgiving just a long needed break for just the two of us.  Everyone else is all over this year plus we both lost our mothers in 2019 so no huge spread with all the trimmings.

Tonight on my first meal back I wanted my wife's grilled cheese sandwich on Sara Lee Artisan white bread and the deluxe American cheese done golden tomorrow as I have for the last 22 or 23 yearsbrown with kosher dill pickles and a diet Coke.....perfect !

Tomorrow we debated between a turkey casserole and turkey dinner and settled on a turkey breast and turkey thighs cooked in the oven and all of the potatoes, stuffing, gravy etc.  Enough for plenty of GAMEDAY snacks and sandwiches.  I got some Jewish rye bread and select good cheeses for the occasion of 5 days of football !  A Wedgewood Pizza will follow the turkey also a tradition in our home.

So try to kick back and say thanks for something, I know what I'm thankful for including you die hard BROWNS fans so HAPPY THANKSGIVING everyone !

I'll be fryin' turkey tomorrow as I have for the last 22 or 23 years & making peanut butter fudge.

Funny that you mentioned grilled cheese. A few games ago, I decided to start our tailgates with an early morning favorite I remembered from "Dutch Pantry" at the Niles' exit.....grilled sausage patty on an english muffin topped with provolone cheese & dill pickle slices....Nathans Dills are really good on this & it's the pickles that really make these sandwiches great!

  7. There's an old saying that "Every dark cloud has a silver lining" (in this case, opportunities). I was very anxious to see the Miami game (and the rest of the upcoming games) to see who might make the most of their opportunity. If nothing else, our depth is getting valuable experience.

Chad obviously bought into "next man up" & took advantage of his opportunity.

    GO BROWNS!

The current CBA expires at the end of the 2020 season....next year.    Some issues I think will be in play:

    A.  A new disciplinary procedure needs to be instituted.  Right now, one guy,  (Troy Vincent currently)  metes out all the fines, suspensions, etc.  And while there is an appeal...that goes just to the Commissioner, Goodell.   He occasionally revises punishment...but only occasionally and not by much.   In the past this has caused a whole can of worms.   I personally think that the NFL should have a disciplinary panel....made of up  player reps   (if not current ones because they are kinda busy, but maybe recently retired guys),  management reps,  and  attorneys/magistrates...legal officials.   Any appeals should go to like a 3 judge panel  (just like regular court appeals do)...who, yes, should be like retired judges.  The commissioners office should stay out of it completely IMO.

    B. Dope.   Dope...Marijuana testing will be eliminated.  The only kind of discipline that should be applied would be if someone like got caught driving under the influence (that includes alcohol, MJ, other street drugs, or prescription drugs.    Right how, I guess, maybe, they should perhaps still test for like cocaine, meth, etc. ..more to get people help than to discipline them.

    C.  The Franchise Tag....will be an issue for discussion.  Players apparently hate it.  Not sure why when under it they become at least one of the top 5 paid players at their positions.

    D.  I know the whole  18 game season/reduced preseason issue will be on board.  I really do not like the idea of an 18 game season...but I really hate the idea of continuing with the current preseason format.

    E. Healthcare.   For current and retired players.  Always a concern.   And include side health issues...like CTE testing etc.

    F. Money.....ALWAYS money.  How do the players and owners divide up the huge revenues they receive.

Can you all think of anything else?

Gip, I TOTALLY agree with your statement in issue "A". Very well stated and YOUR suggestion would (dare I say) bring FAIRNESS & CONSISTENCY to the process.

    Thanks again,

He should appeal.  That's how the game is played.  And if it's not supposed to be labeled as 'indefinite', then why did they do it?  Do they not know the rules?

If you watch NFL football every week, it's pretty obvious they don't know their own rules.

If I was a Browns player I would be frothing at the mouth at the chance to go after Rudolph in two weeks, especially after seeing the video of what really happened to start the whole debacle. It would be my personal vendetta to knock him the fuck out.

I think wussy boy Mason Rudolph has put a huge target on his own ass & I don't think it will just be the Browns being the "heat seeking missiles".

I don't think for a moment that there was any racial motivation involved here.....but that does not mean that it is beyond the realm of possibility that someone would want to make it an issue.   Gee...thanks for giving someone the idea!

You know, Mike...you just like to stir up shit, don't you?  :P

Gip, I don't think there was either, but I mentioned it in this case, because excluding Rudolph from suspension deserves it & the NFL deserves all the shit people can throw at them. That punk even called Myles' actions "cowardly" & "bush league".......What were HIS?  Wussy boy should have just kept his mouth shut. "People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones".

    THANK YOU!

We all heard Rudolph call Garrett's actions "cowardly" & bush league", yet he in NO way acknowledged his own wrong doing in this & he WAS wrong in his actions & his efforts in trying to remove Garrett's helmet alone were very clear & could easily have caused injury.

Garrett's penalty (IMHO) is justified, but (also IMHO) Rudolph NOT getting suspended for a game or 2 is a TRAVESTY.

KUDOs to David DeCastro for his attempts to restrain Garrett. He did NOT kick or punch, but was totally professional in his attempts to end the situation. Yes, I AM a true Browns' Fan, but DeCastro's efforts are to be applauded.

Though true, I don't see the NFL suspending a team's starting QB.....if they can possibly avoid it.

The QB started it...then got his own hat ripped off...and then came back at Myles for more.   Unfortunately, Myles gave him more.

A player's POSITION should never have ANY influence in violations!

  13. Let's just throw some more gas onto the fire Roger's Boys started with preferential treatment.....

White QB started it & kept it going...he walks with a fine.

3 black Linemen reacted...all were suspended.............Could this be construed as racism on the part of the NFL?

I sincerely hope this blows up in Roger's face!

While Garrett deserved a suspension, it should be a definite # of games,  not another "beg Roger for your freedom" suspension.

Baker is definitely trending upward, his play Thursday night was exactly what the Browns needed. The only way Pittsburgh was going to win was if the Browns turned the ball over.

That said, Baker and OBJ have zero chemistry. It isn't getting better as the season goes.

Makes a case for players actually showing up for OTAs etc, doesn't it? Let's hope OBJ realizes that.

Saying rudolph should also get a suspension (a much shorter one) is not defending Myles. Why can't people understand that.  Most everyone agrees with what was given to Myles so no need to talk about it.  Pointing out what mason did so he should get a game or 2 suspension is not defending Garrett
