With great questions like this^^ how does Mary Kay Cabot keep a job? ..did someone call for a guess-pert 🤓...

Were in the same boat on Thomas & Wills..and the minute we take this small media trade down to land Jones? Jones will be a Jet or Buccaneer by pick 14, with our drafting luck.. Talk from a bunch of Skins fans down here is, the Skins won't take anything less than a 2nd for Trent..our pick #41(and a new deal, which who is going to touch this without a medical exam?).. or Skins will elect to let him sit again if no draft day deal (i'd call that bluff,if needed).. Nobody should know Peters better than A.Berry. but Peters may not see us as his final SB contender.. Also lots of smoke also blowing on browns trading down for Yannick Ngakoue in a Jags pick flip in 1st (pick 10 to 20, with more picks involved) and or our 2nd round pick #41...Vernon would certainly be out..and not much playing time left for chad thomas..

..13 more days of the nfl guess-perts.. Hunt or Njoku could become trade targets by sunrise;)

Thanks for the response Gumby. You hit just about all of my concerns. I do believe the price for Williams will be much too high. Seems like we may agree that if Thomas & Wills are gone, grabbing Jones at 10 may make the most sense. I also suspect Hunt & Njoku may be offered in trade at some point......takers?..who knows?

  2. I have questions for the more knowledgeable.....I prefer Thomas & Wills as #1 & #2 in the draft, then closely followed by Jones. If Thomas & Wills are both gone prior to our #10 pick, would it be wiser to trade down or leave nothing to chance & grab Jones at 10?....OR are we better off either trading for Williams or signing Peters & taking more of a project in 2nd round & going BPA in the 1st?

Don't see longevity like Kaline's anymore... that's for sure.

And then we traded Kuenn... and then traded to get Rocky back... and then traded Rocky again...

I remember Rocky and Herb Score coming up together as rookies and thinking things were looking up.

I remember seeing The Rock's 4 home run game on TV...

One of my Little League teams was named after him... sorta... whoever turned in the name for the uniforms misspelled it so we were the "Colovitos"

I'll never forget watching that game vs Baltimore!

A couple things...Nick Chubb is going to set records next year.  Ideal fit for him with the patient run style he employs.

And It ain’t a secret I don’t like NJoku.  I think we trade him and bring in a better Run blocking complement with this scheme.  We have Hooper as a red zone target and general pass threat target.

I don't like Njoku either, but with Stefanski running a lot of 2 tight ends, we may be stuck with him. Who knows what may happen, but if we trade him, I won't complain.

He may be a physical specimen, but it remains to be seen if & when he learns to block, run patterns, & hold onto the damn ball.

BTW, it's scary what Chubb will do in this ZBS.

I'm down to watching classic Indians and college football games......and cleaning up my desk and files.

    And we finally got Netflix.

I figure to spend much more time fishing this year, so I'm cleaning my fly tying area, fly lines, & re-organizing my fly boxes & tackle boxes to get ready. I've already moved from chaos to "so THAT'S where I put that thing!" Next is to sit there & actually tie some new flies.

If we can't go to the stadium this fall, I can at least enjoy some deep fried bluegill filets.

    That's all ya got?

Down south we call that "weak tea."

All the teams' draft hats are black. All the team graphics use the same, new "neon" look.

Just turned out in our case to be an unfortunate pairing.

The name on the sides is embroidered, but that (UGH!) front logo is done in silicone. Hell, there are folks on this board who may have done better with a caulking gun! LOL

Paul Brown is inarguably the greatest football mind in the field of professional football there has ever been. He is more responsible for the modern NFL than any other human being that has ever walked the earth. Tell me Collier has achieved any of that level of greatness in any shape, form or manner. I actually believe the way they dumped Brown has put an unwavering curse on the franchise. Just pray the curse ends at some point, like it finally did for the Red Sox, after trading the Big Bambino.

I tend to agree with you Cube. Paul Brown was the greatest innovator in the history of Pro Football.

I copied & pasted this little ditty: Brown is credited with a number of American football innovations. He was the first coach to use game film to scout opponents, hire a full-time staff of assistants, and test players on their knowledge of a playbook. He invented the modern face mask, the practice squad and the draw play.

In addition to the above, Paul Brown was a proven WINNER at ALL levels. I also believe that Bill Belichick would agree with us.

  8. I can barely wait for the season too, but...

    1) IF the season happens, I believe attendance will be spotty based on how many Fans will be ok to be in crowds. If games approved & the gates are open, I plan to attend.

    2) Options for Season Ticket Members who may be leary of attending?

    3) Parking costs?

    4) What about these 1 year contracts & free agents coming up?

Many things to consider & who knows when we'll know whether or not we have a season & what restrictions may apply IF we DO have a season.
