HA! It's called "lip service". We'll see IF & "how hard" he works. Obviously, I'm no believer or fan of his.

Oh yeah kids are on the radar in high school and going to camps before going to the NFL minor leagues..... college. The NFL draft is now a year long activity.
And the stakes are enormous no professional players have off-season jobs anymore.
Yep, times have changed. An old favorite of mine, Browns' safety Don Fleming, was electrocuted in the early 1960's working his off season construction job.

ask Canton Mike - I railed against drafting the drunkard qb hugely, always.
I tried to look on the bright side, then found out there wasn't one.
He could play, but couldn't stop drinking and partying.
Cal WAS against drafting Manziel. Wanna buy a Manziel jersey? You'll have to buy it from me, not Cal, so do some research before pointing fingers.

I think Milt Plum may be in there, in fact I'm sure he threw WAY more TDs for the Browns than Phipps! I can't believe Phipps would be top 10. Could Couch sneek in our top 10?

Want something quick and easy ?
Delicious ZUCCHINI PIZZA BITES, oh yeah ! Quick and easy nice when the zucchini start coming in by the boatload.Topped with sauce, mozz, and mini pepperonis, zucchini makes a surprisingly adorable base for pizza. If you don't have mini pepperonis a good sharp knife should do the trick. Good for those GAMEDAY treats when they come back or just an anyday treat.
YIELDS: 4. PREP TIME: 0 HOURS 10 MINS. TOTAL TIME: 0 HOURS 20 MINSINGREDIENTS3 large zucchini, sliced into 1/4" roundsExtra-virgin olive oil, for brushing
1/4 c. marinara or pizza sauce1/3 c. shredded mozzarella1/3 c. mini pepperoniDried oregano, for sprinkling
DIRECTIONS- Preheat oven to 400°. Place zucchini on a baking sheet and brush with olive oil. Bake until slightly tender, 5 minutes.
- Spoon a thin layer of sauce over each slice, then top with mozzarella and mini pepperoni. Sprinkle with dried oregano and bake until zucchini is tender and cheese is melted, 10 minutes.
I will definitely be trying these. Anymore, I prefer Miceli's Italian Blend cheese to mozzarella & I always like to sprinkle some parmesan on all things Italian. Thanks for another great recipe & it's simple!

Ya see Mike you should have followed my advise that loyalty is everything to this guy. Proudly bought my primo "95" way back when. I knew he was a Brown forever unless
they foolishly trade him down the line somewhere. I doubt it would be because he wants it either.
Yeah Bill, you were right. I simply thought that his loyalty to A&M and Texas would take him back there, but he (obviously) has adopted Cleveland & the Browns. I was chosen as "Season Ticket Member of the Week" in Myles' rookie year of 2017 (vs Packers). I was given a Riddell Mini Helmet autographed by Myles. It is still in the case on display in the Man Cave. BTW, at the end of that game (won in OT by packers), Clay III removed his Packers' jersey. He wore his Dad's #57 Browns' jersey on under it.
Great memories of Myles Garrett & more to come!

Give me a Bobby "Bingo" Smith jersey.
Oh man! LOL The ultimate gunner.....either "fire hot" or "icy cold". Whenever he would come in, my standard yell was, "If he misses his 1st 2 shots, get him the hell OUTTA there!".

I can celebrate now that it's official. A Cleveland Team FINALLY kept one of our own Draftees long term & he's well worth it! In a couple years, folks may look at the price as a bargain. Great signing of a fine player & person. He's the kind of young man I want my Grandchildren to look up to.
The only reason I haven't yet purchased a Myles Garrett jersey is that I am one of those Fans who thought he would return home to Texas. His will be my next jersey.
Good job by AB & Staff. Let's give credit to the Haslams as well....after all, they forked up the $$ to get this done.

He's actually a person with intellectual depth. He's no dumb jock. And he's a physical freak. You just don't let a player like that get away.
The thing last year was a freak thing. Myles is as high class as they get in the NFL. I can't wait 'til this is official.

The Browns gave season ticket holders the opportunity to opt out of this season. I chose that option, so no Browns games for me this year. Kind of sad. I have been making the 600 mile trek 6-7 time a year since 04, and usually 3 times since our return. The up side is my 2021 tickets are now paid in full, so assuming I make it that far, it will seem like a free season.
I know we have several season ticket holders on the board. What are you guys doing? Holding or opting out?
Our 2020 tickets are paid in full. I am no gambler but, if I were, I'd be betting on an increase in 2021.

Not a rye guy, but including pickles is good, I usually go Clauson - either halves, slices but not so much their spears. And what's better than grilled cheese with tomato soup?
The Claussen dills were what I used for years, but when Marc's was out one day, I decided to try Nathan's & haven't looked back. BTW, grilled cheese & tomato soup is definitely an American classic.

What do you consider rock? You know just Chuck Berry and Buddy Holly and little Richard and Bill Haley and the comments and Elvis
Sorry Gip...
1) It's Bill Haley & the Comets
2) Elvis did mostly ballads...Chuck Berry is TRULY the King of Rock & Roll!! (my opinion)

In these times, I am convinced the name will change to one that will NOT relate to Native Americans.
How about a name that is inanimate? Maybe "The Cleveland North Coasters" (oops..that may offend Cedar Point LOL). Maybe just the "North Coast", nickname "Coasters".

My wife makes a great plain old grilled cheese sandwich, buttered on all four sides, a good quality white bread like Swebel's Italanio bread and the most important part cooked exactly golden brown with American or other favorite cheese of your choice.....oh yeah ! Mr Food has a good recipe for a good GC sandwich, try it !
Now I will occasionally take my done grilled cheese sandwich and open it up and put a good cold slice of a red ripe garden fresh tomato on it, salted to taste.
Or open it up and put a nice big Hungarian pepper inside or other pepper like jarred hot peppers or something similar.
No wrong way to enjoy a GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH especially with a cold crunchy dill pickle on the side...... ummmmm.
.........I'm really hungry for one now !
Make mine a (couple) grilled swiss on rye (Jewish Rye preferred) with two Nathan's dill pickle sandwich slices grilled on it. Just had a couple last Saturday. Add some Lay's chips/Lawson's dip or Snyder's of Berlin BBQ chips & I'm good to go.

I saw my first Cleveland INDIANS game at the Ol' Muni in 1959 when I was 8 years old. I'll never forget the look and feel and yes smell of the old stadium, the field which looked enormous, the bigger than life Chief Wahoo on the outside of the stadium and everything else about it. I still have the program from that game and every game since and that was a lot especially in the 70s and 80s not exactly the high point of INDIANS baseball history.
I saw a lot of Cleveland BROWNS games to who were much more successful during that same period.
YES there are some of us who will never get over calling them the Cleveland INDIANS after 62 or 42 or 22 years.
GO TRIBE !
You're stirring memories! I saw my 1st game in 1953 when I was not quite 7. My favorite players were Bob Feller & Larry Doby. I have VIVID memories of walking to our seats, looking at that PERFECT grass. It was the most beautiful place this young kid had ever seen. I'll never forget that day & I'll aways remember them as my Indians no matter WHAT they name 'em.
I just wish Progressive Insurance would get smart & rename the ballpark .."Feller Field" courtesy of Progressive Insurance. IMHO it would be a FAR better name & I think it would actually enhance Progressive's image.

Woody, have you ever gone to training camp & watched him parade around showing off his 6 pack abs? drop passes? misrun patterns? Take your blinders off!

If Njoku aka "Mr 6 Pack" goes, color me happy.
Talented? Yes he is.
A football player? Not in my opinion. I think he's a gutless narcissist.

ps: Before training camp? How about before the 4th of July?

Billy Manziel's father was quoted, BEFORE THE DRAFT, that his son "drank to relieve the stress of being Johnny Football." The red flags on this kid were all over the place.
He is the biggest example of style over substance I've ever seen. You are dead on about the Haslams wanting the glitz surrounding him.
Good points & we have to admit, he DID provide a "spark" of sorts in Brownstown which was needed then. Of course, the red flags smothered that "spark" in short order. Somehow we survived & we're far better off that he's gone.........Lesson learned.

We're having hot dogs Sunday and/or Monday this weekend coming up the only decision is hotdog sauce -or- onions...... maybe both ?
I like white onions cooked IN the coney sauce, but RED onions to top 'em. I'm sure we'll have 'em sometime this weekend too.I love hot dogs! Like pizza, I could eat 'em multiple times a week.
Enjoy!

I have a whole series of Mr Food cookbooks. Here's a fave of mine with my changes in brown...
Old Time Hot Dog Sauce
Spruce up your hot dogs with a savory topping that's really yummy and comes together in no time. Our Old Time Hot Dog Sauce is beefy, flavorful, and all-American. It's just what your hot dogs need to take them from ordinary to extraordinary! What You'll Need
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 (15-1/2-ounce) can tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (I use ONLY fresh coarsely ground black pepper & I double it to 1/2 teaspoon..I also add 1/2 teaspoon of celery salt)
- 1/2 cup water
What to Do
-
In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef and onion 6 to 8 minutes or until beef is browned, stirring often.
- Add remaining ingredients, stirring to combine. Bring mixture to a boil, lower heat, and simmer 7 to 10 minutes, or until heated through and well combined, stirring occasionally.

FOOTBALL'S happy Manziel's done! (I'm happy too & I"M one of the idiots who cheered us drafting him! )

This will be interesting. Certainly, if healthy & given the freedom to do so, Cam can make things happen. Belichick? He ain't one of (if not THE) greatest for nothing.
