  1. pure clickbait, but fun if you're into that kind of thing. "Cap" at present is rollover for next season. We likely have Jed both this season and next because that's his rookie contract.. an equivalent-or-better talent at his cap level won't be possible. His replacement will come with our 1st-rounder in the 2025 draft.
  2. Watson's completion % today was the second-highest of his entire career. Fun with statistics: ESPN hasn't updated the stats for the late game yet, but Browns total yards given up through 3 games is still lower than everyone else but the cowboys through 2.
  3. Speaking of other teams, what type of drugs did Josh Dobbs take to go 17-21, 189, 1 and beat Dallas by 12? His kicker hitting one from 62 didn't hurt
  4. Jessica Alba, 42, left the church when she played a role of a woman with gonorrhea of the throat.. and people she thought were her friend stopped simply because of a role she played. Side note: There was a paper showing that gargling with listerine significantly reduces the chance of catching that. The more you know. She also married a guy named Cash.
  5. Holy Lou Holtz's Balls, it's time to get over Baker and his 19-step drops.
  6. After giving up under 100 yards passing to an NFL team.. twice, I hope this defense has some goals higher than "contend." And although every year is a new year, the mid-80's Bears and the turn-00's Ravens had to build a couple years before they peaked. 86 was the title year, but some stats of the 85 bears D were better.
  7. Indeed, let's ignore the best defensive stats since the 1985 bears and 2000 ravens because Being Negative Is Fun. If you ignore the good things, nothing's good!
  8. Our next first-round pick is 2025. Wills' last year under contract is 2024.
  9. Ottis Anderson, like Hunt, was all-pro his first season and it's all downhill from there. Only 220#, he played for the Cardinals for 7.5 years before going to NYG mid-season 1986.. where he was a backup to Joe Morris until 1988. Joe Morris, incidentally, ended his career in Cleveland as a 3.1 ypa backup in 1991. Ottis was also 3.1 ypa basically every year in NY. That super bowl year, Rodney Hampton was 4.2, Meggett was 7.5.. even ancient Phil Simms was above 4.0 when he scrambled. Ottis somehow had a 3.5ypa that season but his entire time in NY [before and after] he was just a plugger backup.
  10. I may be in the minority here, but I think Ford is the RB1 with Hunt repeating his RB2 role. Hunt looked done last season.. because he likely is. Ford was RB3 in his draft year. He was an Alabama recruit who transferred to Cincy for more PT.. which should be to his positive because he has less wear on the wheels.
  11. Sure, let the new guy vulture it for his first 2 carries as a Brown! And let's just go for 2 every time from here on. Because we couldn't go for 3..
  12. Chubb injury analysis already out from Sutterer. Risk is a dislocation as well as multiple ligaments.. similar to Marcus Lattimore.
  13. Unfortunate Dobbins got injured again in week1.. But just FYI, Dobbins' injury was on a natural grass field. Per the Sutterer injury channel, there is a paper showing that the actual rate of injury on turf vs natural grass is the same [the stats phrase is "not different enough to be something that couldn't have happened by chance"]. The notable thing for injuries is the degree of field slipperiness.. if a foot gets stuck in the ground, the force of a hit has a greater chance of being transmitted to the body rather than dissipating in the field.
  14. All of Delpit, ZDS, Garrett charted as elite via tia's favorite PFF. Good to see ZDS acquisition working out and the continued maturation of Delpit
  15. Passpro, obviously, he's doing well. Run blocking, though, needs a lot of work. Don't put him in Canton just yet.
  16. I hope Watson bouncing half his passes to receivers today was only because of the rain affecting his grip.. if that's his new arm strength, this season's ceiling will be a lot lower.
