Though Harris was considered a top-15 center prospect nationally, Washington was the only FBS school to offer him a scholarship. He played for former USC and NFL offensive lineman Pat Harlow, which should have been a good sign to schools looking for a solid interior starter. Harris made an impact as a true freshman, starting four games (two at left guard, two at right guard) for the Huskies. He was an honorable mention All-Pac-12 pick in 2017, starting all 13 games at right guard. His coaches moved him to the pivot for his junior season, and he wound up starting all 13 games and garnering first-team all-conference honors for his efforts. Harris was a first-team pick his senior campaign, as well, starting 12 games.

Overview

Worker-bee, center-only prospect who won't check many physical boxes but brings his grit to the fight on every snap. Harris' body type belies his impressive foot quickness and ability to make all the move blocks needed from his position. His ability to sustain both run and pass blocks speak to his consistency of effort and performance, but size, scheme and positional limitations could cause him to drop lower in the draft than his actual tape would dictate.

7. Nick Harris, Washington

Draft Board Rank: 93rd

Harris had serious play-strength concerns on his 2018 tape that I thought improved a good deal in 2019. Then he showed up to the Senior Bowl at a slight 293 pounds and got overpowered in the one-on-ones all week. That's concerning, to say the least. Still, Harris was easily the most athletic lineman in attendance and can make blocks in the run or screen game that others can only dream of. That will be coveted highly in certain schemes.

Harris - initial look... he's undersized?  6'1 Maybe?  290ish.

Yes, with strength issues, but strength can be fixed. Apparently he moves really well...
