The Secondary and DL when healthy were among the best in the NFL. There's still not a dominant force at LB that can just lock down the middle of the field, though JOK plays a strong hybrid. Offensively, more depth is needed on the OL, I think the seventh tackle of the season played tonight. I think drafting a RB is diligent, but I'd also bring Kareem Hunt back if the number can work. As far as Flacco, they'd be crazy not to consider bringing him back. He pushed the ball down the field in way no other QB in Cleveland has since Bernie. He brought out the beat in Njoku and made the TEs a threat.

That's become the hardest things about professional sports. That is what was so special about college football. The purity of wanting to win and wanting to be the best. Now there is so much money involved, and I'm a capitalist to the core, that the focus turns into what's coming around the bend rather than finishing the job being stared down. Most of these guys will have a trip booked somewhere by halftime of the Dolphins-Chiefs game. As my daughter sat down beside and asked if "we" were winning, I said no, but Training Camp starts in 6 months.

I've never been the one to run home and cry to parents. BUT I'll be damned if every spring owners meeting Bob Kraft and Jerry Jones aren't offering up changes that benefit their teams. It's time for Jimmy Haslam to be more vocal to league about stuff like this when someone lines up across from Myles Garrett.

Morning after Nick Saban retires... Belichick walks away from NE
AP1 replied to Dutch Oven's topic in THE BROWNS BOARD
My general take was not related to the Patriots. It was along the lines that 25% of the teams in the League are without a HC. Maybe the Raiders hire Antonio Pierce and take the number down to 7/32. I do hope Schwartz sticks around and wants to be part of something special, just like Dick LeBeau, and be happy being the DC, or Defensive Head Coach as Terry Pluto called him, for a serious Super Bowl contender for the next decade. -

I did not want to post about anything until after the playoffs, because I want to enjoy this run. I believe the derby is about to blow open. The next man up mentality of this Browns team has been nothing short of exceptional. I hope the same mentality exists on the coaching staff and in the front office. Jim Schwartz is going to be a hot commodity. -
There are two Head Coaches in Cleveland Browns history with multiple 11+ win seasons: the great Paul Brown and Kevin Stefanski. Joe Flacco is the first player in NFL History to pass for 250+ yards and, at least, 2 TDs in his first five starts with a team. Joe Flacco is making David Njoku the TE we expected on Draft Day. Bitonio, Pocic and Teller will determine how far this team goes. I've only experienced seminal Cleveland sports moments through the TV, but what I experienced last night with the fan base is not something I've experienced since the Indian's 1995 World Series run. Kevin Stefanski is THE COACH OF THE YEAR. Myles Garrett doesn't need sacks to be the most effective Edge Rusher. He won't be the DPOY, but he deserves the award. Joe Flacco is THE COMEBACK PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

Since Dutch referenced the 1988 Browns, here is the Week 16 game vs the Oilers. The Browns were down 23-7 and scored three second half TDs to win 28-23. Don Strock, in his 15th season threw for 326 yards. Browns vs Oilers Since we never got televised Browns games in Central Indiana, my Grandma would tape them and send them to us. Don Criqui and Bob Trumpy are the voices of my childhood.

Correct. HOWEVER, if MIA does beat BAL the Browns need to play for that #1 seed.

The Ravens have not yet locked up the Number 1 seed. They have locked up a playoff spot. Here's how the Browns can still get the #1 seed.
