The baby backs just started their third hour on coals. Seasoned with salt, white pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika. I don't wrap and just put some honey on. They'll probably go another hour or so. The beef was dry brined with salt, then seasoned with coarse salt, coarse pepper and coarse garlic. I just pulled it sliced an onion, cut butter into TB pads, placed the butter and the onion on the beef three layers of wrap and a foil pan. The beef probably has 2-3 more hours. Here we go Brownies, here we go! (Hoo, hoo!)

Division winners are guaranteed one home playoff game. The non-division winners are playing for the #5 spot.

I hate to be Captain Obvious, but it's to the point where games can no longer afford to be lost. For the sake of Conference records they're going to have to beat the Texans. They flat out need the wins against the Jets, Bears and Bengals. Some, myself included, were hoping to go 2-0 on the AFC West Road Trip. I think everyone at least expected a split.

My perspective has changed since the other QB deals were made post Watson. It's also nice knowing that we've only one more draft to deal with losing those picks for Watson and the best talent the Browns have had in three decades was still able to be assembled.

The fat lady has not yet sung, it may feel like she's warming up, so I don't want to be fatalistic and speak in platitudes. If I'm an owner, in this specific situation, I'm having a meeting with the chain of command informing them they are expected to have maximum contingencies for such a situation and that the current state shows no such contingency was considered. This does not fall on the players that did not show up to play. This does not fall on the coaches that looked unprepared and were outcoached. This falls squarely on the personnel decision makers, be it DePodesta, be it Berry. I'm not sure about the accountability of the command structure, but someone needs an ass chewing, a good solid ass chewing with passion, emotion and some fists slammed on the desk, and, as a result, someone's leash needs to be a little shorter. I don't want to blow it up. I don't want people fired. I don't want to start all over. I want to finish as strong as possible, because that's what champions do, and I want every shortcoming assessed, analyzed and remediated and I want everyone from the Owner's Box to the guy that cleans the bathrooms to understand and acknowledge how good it felt to be 7-3, and winning games thought unwinnable. I want everyone to be on the same page and buy in and I want the 2024 Browns to do what everyone thought the 1995 Browns would do - WIN THE SUPER BOWL.

Many times over....Don't focus on what it takes to just get in, keep winning and it will take care of itself.

So many have waxed so poetically about the shit sandwich that has been served to the Browns - players, coaches and fans. I've nothing further to add, but will quote on of the great intellects of our time, Daniel Simpson Day... "Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?"

Got to keep an eye on the Dolphins and Jaguars... Here are the Dolphins remaining games - BYE, Raiders, Jets, Commanders, Titans, vs Cowboys, at Ravens, vs Bills. Here are the Jaguars remaining games - Titans, Texas, Bengals, Browns, Ravens, Bucs, Panthers, Titans

I am thankful to those of you that know each other personally, for allowing us outsiders to be part of a Browns family. My immediate family were the only Browns fans I ever knew. I'm grateful for the insider content I get from TBB, it's the 21st Century BN/I, I'm thankful for everyone giving their hot takes, I'm thankful for following the Game Day threads, as I only get a game or two televised. Most of all, I'm thankful to have access to people that feel the same edge that comes with every Sunday.

My favorite Parcells' soundbite: Team Doctor - He's alright. But he won't be in top form. Bill Parcells - Huh? Team Doctor - He can play but he's not in top form. Bill Parcells - Well, he don't have to play Doc. All he's gotta do is kick. -

Local media showed a clip of Dawand Jones' mom running down the stands to give him a hug. It's awesome seeing him win at LOS. He's a product of Ben Davis High School on the west side of Indianapolis. They are an Indiana High School Football Blue Blood, 9 State Championships in Indiana's largest class since 1987. -

Ugly wins count just as much in the won column as blowouts. What a win! -
I'm uncomfortable about this game and agree it's a trap game. I live in the Indianapolis area. Nobody expected the Colts to be 3-3 at this point - fans, local sport talk, the guys that cover the team. Most were expecting them to draft Marvin Harrison, Jr with the First Pick in the 2024 Draft. They have nothing to lose. Just like last week, the Browns had nothing to lose. I'm relieved Grover Strewart is out. Garner Menshew hasn't really had a hero moment, yet. They have their home run hitter back with Jonathon Taylor. The Browns can't come out flat. The Colts are the most gray man entitled fan base in the NFL. Not many hate Colts fans, but I can't stand them. They were so spoiled with the Bill Polian/Manning Teams and then turned right around, drafted Andrew Luck and advanced one round further into the playoffs every year the first three years under Ryan Grigson. The way fans out here bitch and moan about their QB woes drives me crazy. They have zero clue about QB woes. Thanks for allowing me to vent.
