Someone named Zonovan Knight looked good for NYJ yesterday. Because he was undrafted, this may mean there won't be a market for D'Ernest Johnson this offseason even though DJ is quite capable as a backup.. because other GM's would think they can go to another undrafted rather than pay to roster DJ. Thus only the lowest level of comp pick possible coming our way for the 1.216M investment in him this season.

NYG have backups on their OL yet still are finding a way to get some rushing against a good Dallas D. Pocic IR is a reason but not an excuse..

It can always be worse at HC: Kliff Kingsbury at AZ should be the next to be fired as he's failed to make the college->pro transition. [Rhule is also this from earlier] If you ever wondered what a team looks like when all the coaches do is lose.. Arizona has to be the poster child this year. Kliff makes Stef look like a genius.

Stef has a now-11th DVOA offense with a career journeyman backup QB. That's absolutely not possible with anyone other than Stef designing the plays and the gameplan and calling the plays. It's pretty ridiculous this is not acknowledged. It's laughably tiresome to either think about or discuss anything else.

Pretty sure the last time you could legitimately have confidence in a Browns backup edge being able to consistently generate pressure was sometime in the 80's.. Gone are the days of talking yourself into Porter Gustin or Nate Orchard..

Awarding of comp picks is also based on the net of FA activity -- who you lose combined with who you add. So if we plan to add more than one DT [and that had gd better be the plan] then comp picks won't really be a thing.

I watched it, i'll continue to watch it when i can. The side discussions with brothers Kelce made it more like a podcast than a game, but still more interesting. They used the telestrator to circle the 1:1 with Cooper before his TD right before the snap, showed some coverage details as well.. more in-depth than what you'll normally see. To me this is similar to what ESPN also does with the CFB national title game -- on ESPN2 for the last few years they've had multiple other college coaches in a room both to discuss and to use the smartTV/telestrator to back/forward, show route concepts and coverages etc.

And you can do a lot worse at RB3 than D'Ernest. Hunt was always a luxury - and due to his salary next yr, likely won't net much in a trade. Even so, better something than nothing. Late-round drafting is about taking shots whether we like it or not.. no guarantees there.

You could do a lot worse than WR Fleming in the 7th. Not a starter, but easily an upgrade over Schwartz/Woods

League leaderboard overall win rates thru week 7. Wills is #5 in the league in OT pass rush win rate, above Conklin. Pocic is #8 for all C in passrush win rate, #9 for all C in runblock win rate - no other Brown is in top10 runblock rate. Browns as a team #1 in passblock rate, #17 in runblock.
