I work with a bunch of Muslims but they are thoroughly Americanized. Grew up here, go to tailgates with us all the time, don't make their daughters wear any sort of head scarf, etc. They immediately after Orlando started an outreach with the local LGBT organizations to see what they can do. That said, they are open about how people have reasons to not trust Muslims given that the moderates aren't making enough efforts to reach out to the communities around them to build some sort of ties. That's why its so difficult. There are muslims who are American citizens, and that's as far as it goes. Then there are Americans who are Muslims...those folks you are the ones you're talking about. The upper is interchangeable with an ar-15 anyway Really in this case it's kinda nitpicking, I think "ar-15 type rifle" is accurate enough.
