Payback, investment, usage ... Dude, I've been a Florida resident for 30 years. I'm not here to give you advice on how to run your city. Just get your gay-ass dome notions out of the way, because that's not what the Cleveland Browns are about. The Browns are bigger than your multi-use ideas. They are a Keystone NFL Franchise in the cradle of professional football. The Browns decide what's best for them and then the city adjusts accordingly We lost them once, let's hope everyone learned a lesson: Browns come first. Well, an awful lot of those Winds Off The Lake people stayed home for that game against the Saints. And that was a must win for us to keep our playoff hopes alive. Now, perhaps there would've been more fans there if it were the Steelers, but the majority of those would've been Steeler fans. And that's more embarrassing than empty seats. And not just for the economic value of a roof (retractable is fine) for hosting other things for the community (and profit) and/or a super bowl, or combine. And not even for the comfort of the fans and attracting more of them to late season games...but also for the comfort of the players. It's not the 1960's anymore. Players can move around the league now-a-days. They're not stuck in Minnesota with that Whako Bud Grant not allowing his players to have sideline heaters. You're competing not just on the field, you're also competing for talent. Look how much $$ it took to lure Watson. New Orleans wouldn't have needed to pay near that much for him. (turned out they didn't need him to beat us...they had what's-his-face playing wild cat) - that game was a gut punch and a slap in the face at the same time. It's what caused me to start this thread. That crap-ass offense beat us and eliminated us...while we had beautiful td passes sliding through the frozen fingers of our receivers. Geezuz Joseph and Mary that game pissed me off.

Well our run defense sucked ass and couldn't adjust to Taysom Hill running on us even though everyone frozen in the stands and warm at home knew he was running it when he was in there. I think firing the defensive coordinator was a much more logical reaction than building a dome. Z

Part of me wonders what Woods was thinking as he was heading into the season with that DT tandem he had. "If I lose my MLB I'm fucked". But, it was more than that anyway. But you'll get more housewives from Medina and a "family friendly" experience. Personally, I love bad weather football. Give me snow, mud, rain and wind. Love it. I also realize that fiscally, there is nothing more idiotic than building an open-air football stadium in the North that sits empty 95% of the time. You also should be able to appreciate the humor that is some guy in Florida employed in a Nerf soft profession littered with homosexual men (not that there is anything wrong with that) yelling and screaming about how "homosexual" the idea of the Browns not playing in bad weather is because Cleveland is a blue-collar steel town. 😉 But.... you are not wrong when you bring up the fact that dome stadium teams and their relative lack of success in winning Super Bowls. Right? ★ Can be true even with Cleveland's already good fans. Rooting when it's a comfortable 65° rather than a miserable rain/snow mix at 33° and a wind chill of 18°. I did a check once of Cleveland BROWNS home/away games with the weather conditions, available for all NFLteams. I was little surprised at the results, decade after decade there were very few really bad HOME games, maybe 0, 1 or 2 a season. I look at a dome -AND/OR- retractable open air stadium not just for 8 home games a year but it's use 52 weeks a year by the community or region. You CAN NOT print tickets for something that might end up being a rain/snow event. If it's nice out retract the roof ! Whether it's a 65° football game or 75-80° concert in June or 30° event in March. The versatility would be awesome and uses unlimited. Forget the occasional snow games in December I'm thinking 12 months here. ...... I think that is being completely overlooked here ! Think B-I-G people. Cleveland a destination city no matter when ! 1
