  1. Why is Michigan 5-17 against Ohio State in the new millennium? Is the whoop ass gettin too spicy for you? We can do this as long as you want. The reality is that the scoreboard I keep showing you caused recruiting violations and stealing signs on the sidelines from the Annie's Arbor Football program... 😁 Ohio State has 2 National Championships since 2000 - no asterisks required. Anything less from other programs causes asterisks, coaching suspensions/firings and uh-ohs... 😁
  2. Like I said, why is Ohio Sate 17-5 against Michigan since 2000? In that span, Ohio State has 2 National Championships while you're still trying to convince yourself Michigan has one. Stay tuned.....
  3. He's not gonna convince anyone he's happy until he finally convinces himself. That ain't happening any time soon... Hey Woody give your soul to God because your ass belongs to Ohio State.
  4. Why is Ohio State 17-5 against Michigan since 2000? 😁
  5. That was in 2023. Shall we take inventory of which program won mores time in the new millennium? Which one won more National Championships? Which program got disciplined for cheating? Check mate. 😁
  6. He has played Tackle in his early years at K-State but his arm length is only 31 1/2". I read he's played both Guard positions and both Tackle positions.
  7. You started with an excuse? Check mate. 😁
  8. Here's a random order of my top 5 guys for round 3: OG/OT. Isaiah Adams, Illinois 6-4 318 - He was a Team Captain that played LG in 2022 before moving to RT and playing well in 2023. WR. Brenden Rice, USC 6-3 210 - Scored 12 TDs in 2023 on 45 receptions for 791 yards at 17.6 YPC. Jerry Rice is his dad so I have a good feeling about his work ethic, upside and access to the best tutor possible. RB. Braelon Allen, Wisconsin 6-2 245 - Oh yes I did! He's only 20 years old. As an 17 year old Freshman in the Big 10 - he rushed for 1268 yards while averaging 6.8 yards per carry and scoring 12 rushing TDs. 1 year later, he ran for 1242 yards at 5.4 YPC and scoring 11 TDs. As a 19 year old he only played 11 games and rushed for 984 yards with the 5.4 YPC average again scoring 12 TDs on the ground again. It says he'll only be 20 years old for his entire rookie season. LB. Jaylan Ford, Texas 6-2 235 - Made 119 Tackles with 10 TFL as a junior and 101 Tackles with 10.5 TFL as a senior. Projected as a 3 down LBer at the next level with 6 INTs and 4 PBU over the last 2 years. SAFETY. Jaden Hicks, Washington State 6-3 212 -76 Tackles in 2022 and 79 Tackles in 2023 with 6 TFL and 2.5 sacks.
  9. Looks really good! Stover is a great idea for this round and I liked him for the 2nd round. I think he's going to be a great NFL TE.
  10. Sure. Thanks! I'll do mine this afternoon. Biggest surprise I found on defense in Lindy's Draft Mag was them projecting Texas' T'Vondre Sweat for round 3 as their 8th highest rated DT. I doubt he even makes it to #54 overall in round 2. Athlon has him as their 3rd best DT projected for round 2. As I said in my previous post - these rankings/projections can vary from 1 Magazine/Site to another.
  11. Yeah, he's off to a much better start than Jim Harbaugh was at Michigan. How many years in a row did Harbaugh lose to Ohio State? 😁
  12. I finally found Lindy's Pro Football Draft Magazine at the store yesterday. I've always liked the way they beat to their own drum in terms of where they are willing to project prospects. I also notice heights and weights of various prospects can vary from 1 publication/site to another. I'm going to find out with you if they dared to be different this year as I post their version of top 5 prospects in each position and their overall grade for the position group. I'll begin with defense this morning (I'll get the offense later today or tomorrow): SAFETY GRADE C-: 1. Tyler Nubin, Minnesota 6-1 212 rd 1-2; 2. Kamren Kinchens, Miami 5-11 205 rd 2; 3. Jaden Hicks, Washington State 6-2 212 rd 2-3; 4. Tykee Smith, Georgia 5-10 206 rd 3-4; 5. Calen Bullock, USC 6-2 193 rd 4 CORNER GRADE A+: 1. Nate Wiggins, Clemson 6-2 189 rd 1; 2. Terrion Arnold, Alabama 6-0 190 rd 1; 3. Kool-Aid McKinstry, Alabama 6-0 196 rd1; 4. Cooper DeJean, Iowa 6-1 205 rd 1; 5. Ennis Rakestraw Jr, Missouri 6-0 185 rd 2 OLB GRADE B-: 1. Marshawn Kneeland, Western Michigan 6-3 275 rd 2-3
  13. This reminds me of when the Browns brought DC Ray Horton back as our DC a 2nd time just to make sure they were right about firing him the first time. Just 1 losing season later, they confirmed they were right the 1st time. Are the Browns really doing this with Cade York too? It looks like there's a discussion about this in the video below:
  14. Good thing Orion caught this or I still wouldn't have noticed it was there. Happy Belated Birthday young man!
  15. Good to see Stefanski enthusiastic about the expectation for Jones, Conklin and Wills being ready to compete for starting jobs at the start of training camp. Great news! That dudn't mean this team won't have an eye on OL prospects that have played both OT and OG given our situation. K-State's Cooper Beebe has played LT, RT, LG, and RG so whoever does their diligence researching OL prospects may land this gem. The 1 hurdle this 6-3 322 pound trench warrior would have to clear for consideration at LT would be his arm length of 31 1/2" (in comparison our RT Dawand Jones has an arm length of 36 3/8" and LT Jed Wills has an arm length of 34 1/4"). His lateral movement gets mentioned by some (not all) with me thinking a lot of this is when you play OT there's a lot of space on 1 side of you. At OG, there's limited space on both sides of you - making your pass pro assignment easier. When you move from 1 spot to the other - there's a little curve for getting acclimated/reacclimated). 1 thing that never gets mentioned is the importance of a consistent pre-snap stance that sets up your leverage/success from the hips down (your base). Wills has remained very inconsistent with getting into an ideal pre-snap stance despite having a great OL Coach like Callahan. This is why I've questioned how hard he's worked at things at times. From my limited observation, Beebe seems pretty consistent with a stance that sets up his success.
  16. Kenny Britt? I called him Kenny Brat; and some guy said something like "if you don't like him you can follow someone else." I took the greenlight and said something like: I do. I follow the players on this team that are at least trying to be professionals. When it comes down to the reality only 1 of 32 teams is interested in paying you anything close to your asking price - it's not the time to be an "I before team" kind of low-life. I think Belichick signed him shortly after thinking he could CPR a football heart in that hollow inner chest. No luck there either.
  17. Did you see Syd's link where they restructured Jeudy's contract to free up $10? Not to make you feel any worse, but now they can sign someone like Anthony Schwartz for his 1st Happy Meal in Cleveland...
  18. Tell you what I got swarmed by pop up ads in that. What I like about it in comparison to the draft mags - is they update stuff on prospects throughout the weeks/months leading up to the draft. My draft mag was on the shelf in the stores within a week of the Combines which means it was printed and shipped before/during the Combines. That said, the mag still has all the prospects, football skills ratings/rankings by position and overall, mock draft and more...
  19. Payton Wilson was 1 of the 5 guys I listed I would like us to strongly consider for our round 2 spot. He's very good in coverage because he has the instincts to be where he's needed. He also lifted a lot of eye brows at the combines... My only worry with him is he has had some serious injuries in the past; but I don't think they're recent enough to have too much concern with. My guess is he'd be a 1st round prospect if it wasn't for that.
  20. I noticed you wanted me to see ILB and here's the first thing that came up. If anything, it agrees with Tia's assessment. You can be fast but not instinctive (ie: Bark Mingo). On the other hand, you can run disappointing 40s like Ray Lewis but have instincts that put you in the HOF. Do you think 2 FF and 83 tackles in a 12-13 game season advertises the next Ray Lewis? As for the 8 sacks, the 4 I saw on highlights endorsing him came on the blindside in formations where the OG and OT had DL lined up over their inside shoulders meaning? There was nobody available to block the blitzer on the edge so a quick 6-3 230lb guy is going to get the freebies. That's 1 way to reflect the point below that he's not a natural in coverage; and usually LBers that can't get to their hook zones on time struggle with the 1st step instinct. Diagnosing run or pass in the NFL is pretty important in this era. I think if you go back and read what I wrote about him I said in fairness, it was a very quick film review (cliffs notes caliber). He was kind of a beast with the violent run-up explosive collisions; but there were 3 different occasions where ballcarriers bounced off or were jolted back from his hits that didn't include a simultaneous wrap with the hits. In those cases, he had to re-engage, wrap and wrestle those guys to the group without the momentum of speed into the re-do tackle effort. You of all people know you're got Derrick Henry to stand there and wait for Cooper's re-do attempt. As I said in my observations you didn't respond to - instinct LBers tend to be really good tacklers because they get repeatedly get themselves into ideal position under control for the form tackle with head-up accompanying a simultaneous hit and wrap. Someone that doesn't have an ideal 1st step instinct but has Cooper's quicks/speed can fly up and make the physics induced/hard hits like Cooper. But, that has an out of control side to it where he doesn't square up and execute solid form tackles. If you watch his game against the Miami Hurricanes, where he had a Casper-the-friendly-ghost-like 3 solo tackles and 3 assists. That day he faced the type of game plans he'll see at the NFL level that will challenge his ability to get to his hook zones or flats (depending where he is in formation). They didn't stop anything that day. I think you will agree there's some things for him to shore up. The NFL will give him more of that than the gimme sacks from blitzes where nobody is assigned to block him. I think I concluded his hustle and passion jumped off the screen; but good coaching and proper film prep at the next level are definitely needed to shore up the things I spoke about. Bad habits can be resolved but how quickly may depend on how long he got away with them. Film doesn't always give us just the convenient truth - even for home town heroes. 😁 1. Edgerrin Cooper*, ILB, Texas A&M Height: 6-3. Weight: 230. 40 Time: 4.51. Projected Round (2024): 1-2. 3/16/24: Cooper impressed team sources in 2023, showing explosive speed and athleticism. They noted that while Cooper is not as natural in coverage, he is a beast in the ground game. In 2023, he totaled 83 tackles, eight sacks, two forced fumbles, zero interceptions and a pass batted. Cooper has excellent size for the NFL, including ideal height and length. He accepted an invitation to the East-West Shrine, but then declined to practice at the last minute. Cooper did not interview well with teams at the East-West Shrine, displaying a poor attitude and giving teams questions about whether they would want to add him to their locker room. Sources said Cooper was so-so in the combine interview.
  21. Am I sure? I don't even know if we're agreeing or disagreeing; so the question is - what do you think Mr MeAggies?
  22. Yeah, I'm not sure how this one will turn out Vag. Having said that, here's an example of a HOF RB you're pretty familiar with. After an impressive rookie year for the Rams averaging 4.9 yards per carry he dropped down to 3.2 ypc with only 3 TDs a year later. The 3rd year resembled the 2nd. Basically, Jerome Bettis needed a fresh start and a better fit. Jeudy hasn't played up to the expectation of a 1st round WR in Denver; and I'm thinking the Browns are betting on this horse the way Pittsburgh bet on Bettis. Having said that, I wish the Browns used more contract incentives than guaranteed money. Unfortunately, the stats I cut and pasted below reformatted but it's not too hard to see what matches what.
