TexasAg1969 Posted March 14, 2023 Report Share Posted March 14, 2023 Speaking of ZZ Top's La Grange..................................this was taken yesterday somewhere in the vicinity of the ole Chicken Ranch outside of La Grange, a field full of newly flowering Texas Bluebonnets. The song came into being because the writers/composers were sitting in a cafe near Ipanema Beach when this beautiful young girl passed them by every day on her way to the beach never knowing she was being admired. This band is from California and pronounces the word "alone" as "ah-lawn", whereas in Texas that same word gets pronounced "ah-loan".
