This kid can't fart without someone freaking out. If he wants to drink so be it. But my god let's see some pics or proof. Anyone can make up this story, it sounds like every other "true" story about johnny.I mean I coukd say that I once bumped into him at a reaustarnt and only got a boner for a second.however that not true. I got a boner for 10 seconds. See anyone can fabricate a story He's the best qb this team will ever have and you people are pushing him out of town.

Motherfucker, he's not even the best QB on the team 'this' season.

Are you trying to tell me he's worse than the slobs they've thrown out at qb this year. Are you even a football fan? This Kid can't catch a break and the fans and the media are half the problem. Let him play who cares if he's a drinker. Johnny a winner something we've never had.

Worse than McCown? Yes, by far - save for one game.

This kids problems are all self inflicted you victimizing bitch. I don't care if he drinks either, but when it affects your job, THEN its a problem. Would you not agree?

Also, Johnny was a winner in college. As many a collegiate QB have discovered, that doesn't mean a god damn thing in the NFL.

Unless of course you believe Frazier, Crouch, Krenzel, Dixon, JaMarcus, Quinn, Henne, McCoy, Tebow, Leinhart all didn't get a fair shake?

Thought not. Pipe the fuck down.

His own dad called him out publicly for being drunk and immature.

He's in his 20s. He's not a child, he makes his own decisions. He's getting paid to play a kids game and can't keep his shit together.

Fuck him and fuck you.

I don't think he's the guy as of today, but what do you define as "having your shit together"? The guy gets drunk on the weekend but so do I and I'm sure a lot of people here. If he shows up and does his job honestly who gives a shit? This isn't a Manziel thing, I'd say that for every other player, coach and staff on the Browns for that matter. The NFL isn't a dang sunday school where appearance matters. It's all about winning and as long as Johnny (or again, any other player) can show up and play well does it matter?

That's all I've said about this Johnny "drama" but apparently that's some crazy thought to so many people here. Meanwhile we play like garbage on the field like that that's second fiddle to what a dude does off the field.

It's clear that this is the most popular board for the most popular team and the whole world reads this.

The Troll-Alt is strong in this one...

That's the rub, you can't compare an NFL player who's getting paid millions to what you do. I highly doubt what you do for a living requires you to compete physically against elite athletes weekly. Also the better half of the games are on Sunday most people have a big issue with a player getting sloppy drunk a day or two before they have to play.

I don't care about Haslam, Johnny, or Farmer, but I hate to see coach Pettine go, I think he is a straight up guy. You may not like his coaching, but most people like him. He had an intolerable situation this year. I also think Zombo was a little premature on outing Johnny. Zombo is probably right, but we know Hasdlam isn't going anywhere and for all we know Johnny isn't either.

BUT, if the dude does that and still plays at a high level, does it create a fundamental problem that he's a "bad boy" in his free time? Again, just take Manziel out of the equation and literally talk about any NFL football player. There's plenty of stories you hear about regarding dudes who do some wild things but perform on Sunday. My simple thought is if a guy can show up and play ball on sunday as long as he's not breaking the law I could care the fuck less.

And planet hollywood isn't exactly a super private hotel on the strip either. One of the most photographed dudes in the NFL being a huge open casino without any physical evidence is pretty damn suspicious. It could be coming and if it does no doubt it changes the scenario though. As Z said though, if the dude managed to slip to Vegas after attending some work in Cleveland that morning AND posted a picture he manipulated the location, that's pretty damn impressive

But Johnny hasn't played at a high level. He was in rehab days after he completed his rookie year.

How does that NOT compute with some people?

My literal first comment in this thread started with "I don't think he's the guy", if you're talking to me I don't understand how people can't read on this forum a lot. The second someone plays devils advocate to Manziel it's a bunch of dudes wailing on the "must be a Johnny lover!" train without even reading with context

Because there is no devils advocate in this case. There is comparison to high level, tenured players who like to have fun and keep it away from their careers. Then there are young guys whom continue to make bad choices.

i think it's shitty as fuck that someone would leak somethign like this. That kid has problems no doubt but let's give him some credit, he's working on his craft clearly and he's improved for us. Whether he's here or not next season he's been taking the job as seriously as he can while still trying to have some bit of fun. i wouldn't be mad seeing him start next year opening day for the biggest reason that he can spill out of pockets now and still keep his eyes downfield for open receivers. He doesn't look to run first anymore when he's forced out of the pocket. I know it's a low bar, but here in cleveland that's a damn near life saving skill he's picked up.

Ah, the classic "I'm right you're wrong nananana boo argument" I just heard from my 7 year old cousin playing UNO. I'm glad that's what a grown man uses as that an excuse, and I guess these folks who get paid to evaluate football who seem to believe progress has been made are just crazy fools who aren't entitled to express a counterargument

I did take JM out of it as a matter of fact I didn't mention his name until now. I agree that some players do some crazy stuff before games. However almost all those players are vets that have proven they can play at an elite level for YEARS. JM hasn't proven he's the best QB on the team. Many players who haven't proven themselves get released when they do something stupid that makes the news.

Never before have I witnessed a player outright lie as much JM has to his coaches/players/fans that has shown so little on the field. It's mind boggling he still has droves of fans that think one good pass or drive means he should be compared to Brady or Manning. The more psycho JM fans think he should be treated like a HOF player and be given the same amount of leeway both on and off the field. Sorry but that's a sliding scale the better you are the more crap you can get away with.

I'm not saying anyone is 'right and wrong. Now attempting to put spin on how Johnny has behaved is what is wrong. Otherwise there would have been no rehab, no apology to his team mates and coaches.

I won't deny and say that there as been some progress. There has, but not much. When Johnny gets put in the fire his mechanics and footwork regress and he goes back to questionable decision making.

The hallmark of any great QB is consistency. Johnny does not have it, hasn't had it, and quite possibly never will.

I also love for your argument you link one fucking game and ignore the others he's clearly struggled in against teams that decided to not sit back on their heels and make him actually, you know - be a QB.

Cut him.

Travesty if you don't.

He is poison and doesn't belong in the NFL where real men make their living.

I dont care if we can get a 5th rounder for him, cut him to make a statement.

He's a pussy, a coward, and a self-indulged asshole.

Cut him tonight.

Cut him tomight.

Will there be anyone left to "cut him"?

If Jimmah sends his jet, and a 24 hour contract, I'll do it... and have enough time to tie up a few other loose ends.

I said I would share a story about Johnny when he was no longer a Brown. It's pretty apparent he has played his last game for us, so here it is as I described to another member of the board.

This was the weekend of the Monday Night game with Baltimore after he got stripped of the starting job, and occurred on Sat night:

Anyway, I don't want anymore damning info on the kid out on the internet, but I am surprised there isn't more of it. If I saw it, and so did the clerk and the kids by the elevator, you can just imagine how many people see it and don't report it or take pictures, which is good.

This is, of course, a few days after he got demoted for the lying thing, and here was shitfaced out in public.

I hope for the best for him, and it may not affect his playing ability on Sundays at this point in his life, but it will catch up with him if he doesn't curb his appetite a bit. I can see why Pett has him on a short leash, if I saw this, just picking up a key, there must be tons of reports of drunk Johnny out there.

Z

Why the Vegas reports hold credence Z, and I'm not surprised.

More like he came in riding an inflatable swan.

Nailed it.

Zombo- thanks for sharing it with me earlier. I did not let it affect my posts, but after the two selfie videos I gave up on him too. No one is more disappointed than me, because I had felt he has the talent all along. What a waste! And for the record if Haslem cleans house he is just as foolish as the QB he wanted so badly.

Ag, I think you & me had Johnny pegged at the rehab thing.

Are you trying to tell me he's worse than the slobs they've thrown out at qb this year. Are you even a football fan? This Kid can't catch a break and the fans and the media are half the problem. Let him play who cares if he's a drinker. Johnny a winner something we've never had.

Clueless. There are things like functional alcoholics, but they're about unheard of in today's NFL. You can't possibly be 100% gameday if you're getting to the mumbling point at bars on a regular basis. Manziel has a serious drinking problem, that's a damn indisputable fact at this point. I don't need Z's or for that matter Pettine's politically correct "the problems are worse than we thought" comments to know it. FWIW- I've known Zombo for years- and I'll damn guarantee you if he said he saw it- it happened. Manziel's only hope is an extended stay in rehab this off season, I have my doubts it will help. He can always call up Justin Blackmon if he needs an ex-NFL drinking buddy to commiserate with on how it all went wrong.

We owe Brian Hoyer and Josh McCown an apology for having to deal with this douche.

The guy in the playoffs and the guy engaged in every snap we took this year.

Text Farmer that he's fired, cut Manziel before he leaves Nevada. And apologize to Pettine when you hand him his pink slip for making him deal with both of those assclowns.
