Honestly, I'm pretty "meh" on Manziel-I think if the new regime brought in the right system with a little time he could honestly be a good QB. I also think he could be a career back-up character who never gets it together either. BUT, all I'm trying to say is the Browns are very devoid on talent. Fire Farmer (Obviously) Make Haslam sign a contract that he won't intervene. That's the best I can come up with. Anyone else got a better idea? Farmer had to go, but Pettine ignoring the defense until it was too late (KC and Steelers) was the reason he got sent packing. That, and if the Gilbert rumor is true- losing control of the locker room. His clock management was terrible too. I can't feel bad for him, he can sit around doing nothing, or get a TV gig- and still collect more in the next two years than I've made in my lifetime. Get rid of the drama & negative publicity that was the "Johnny & Mike Show", wipe the slate clean & start again. There is no doubt in my mind that Jimmy Haslam is passionate about bringing a winner to Cleveland. That alone gives me hope. He's made mistakes & has an uphill road to travel, but I think he can & will experience success here & I intend to go along for the whole ride.
